Θ-twisted Gravity
We describe a theory of gravitation on canonical noncommutative spacetimes. The construction is based on θ-twisted General Coordinate Transformations and Local Lorentz Invariance. 1. It can be suspected from various arguments, e.g. related with short-distance divergences in quantum field theory and singularities in General Relativity, that the classical concept of spacetime continuum breaks dow...
متن کاملTwisted sectors in three-dimensional gravity
Twisted sectors –solutions to the equations of motion with nontrivial monodromies– of three dimensional Euclidean gravity are studied. We argue that upon quantization this new sector of the theory provides the necessary (and no more) degrees of freedom to account for the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy of three-dimensional black holes. متن کاملκ-deformed gauge theory and θ-deformed gravity
Noncommutative (deformed, quantum) spaces are deformations of the usual commutative space-time. They depend on parameters, such that for certain values of parameters they become the usual space-time. The symmetry acting on them is given in terms of a deformed quantum group symmetry. In this work we discuss two special examples, the θ-deformed space and the κ-deformed space. In the case of the θ...
متن کاملTwisted Self - Duality of Dimensionally Reduced Gravity and Vertex Operators
3 The Geroch group, isomorphic to the SL(2,R) affine Kac-Moody group, is an infinite dimensional solution generating group of Einstein's equations with two surface orthogonal commuting Killing vectors. We introduce another solution generating group for these equations, the dressing group, and discuss its connection with the Geroch group. We show that it acts transitively on a dense subset of mo...
متن کاملDiffeomorphism-invariant noncommutative gravity with twisted local Lorentz invariance
We propose a new theory of gravitation on noncommutative space-time which is invariant under the general coordinate transformations, while the local Lorentz invariance is realized as twisted gauge symmetry. Our theory is remarkably simpler compared to the existing formulations of noncommutative gravity.
